'Lilac Mist' is a beautiful and unique scarf, woven entirely by hand on a rigid heddle loom.  This scarf is made from a range of different wools, all spun by hand on a traditional spinning wheel, and then woven on a rigid heddle loom.

Spinning fine and weaving in this way is a much lengthier process, but produces stunning results! This scarf took around 25 hours to complete. 

This scarf is approximately 170cm in length, with an additional 10cm twisted fringe at each end. The scarf is approx 24cm in width. 

The weft threads are a finely spun, cream coloured Blue Faced Leicester wool, one of the softest wools and comfortable to be worn next to the skin.  The warp is a combination of the same cream wool, alongside a blend of Merino wool and Tussah Silk in beautiful blues and lilacs.  The use of fine handspun yarn creates a scarf with beautiful warmth, weight and gentle drape, and the scarf also features patterned panels at either end for visual interest. The colours are subtle and gentle throughout.

Being a pure wool garment, this item is recommended for cool hand wash only.
