This course follows on from the Introduction to Bookbinding course. We make a similar book block, but with 8 signatures and zig-zag endpapers. The cover is also a half cloth cover. The second activity is using the gold foil and tools to create a bookmark.

About the event

This course follows on from the Introduction to Bookbinding course and develops new skills.

The book block is 8 signatures and a zig-zag endpaper is used. The case is a half cloth case whereby the spine and corners are of cloth, but there is decorative paper on the front and back covers.

Whilst the cases are drying, instead of making another Paper Pocket Book, you will use some hand tools and letters to practice gold tooling and then make a bookmark to your own design.
