OSC Background

Learn heritage crafts in small, hands-on workshops, with plenty of help, and tea and cake along the way!

At Old School Crafts we teach bookbinding, spinning, and other craft workshops from our Victorian schoolhouse in Lincolnshire.

Our workshops are small, relaxed and practical. You’ll learn by doing, with guidance at every step, and go home with something useful, plus the confidence to carry on at your own pace.

(Coming Soon)

We’re planning two-day immersive craft retreats where you can step away from the noise and sink into the rhythm of making.

  • Mornings in the Assembly Room learning bookbinding or spinning.

  • Afternoons with tea, homemade cake, and time for practice.

  • Evenings in the Music Room, fireside chats, reading, or listening to records.

These will be small, thoughtful gatherings designed to give you space to learn, rest and reconnect.

Join the Assembly to hear first when retreats launch...

Get registered, no homework required.

The Assembly is our way of gathering everyone together. Add your name to the register and you’ll get occasional notes from the schoolhouse… first dibs on workshops, a peek behind the scenes, and the odd bit of news from the bench and the wheel.

No detentions, light reading only, no tests at the end.
