About the event

This course covers the techniques that were used by bookbinders throughout the middle ages through to the late 18th century when sawn-in binding became more popular.

You will create an A5 multi-signature book sewn onto cords with zig-zag end papers. You will weave the boards onto the book block and crete a half-leather book with leather on the spine and corners and decorative paper in between.

This course is more advanced bookbinding and only suitable for people with some bookbinding experience already or people who have done our introductory and intermediate bookbinding courses.

It is a two-day course and the second day for this course is 17th September
