A beautiful and unique scarf, woven entirely by hand on a rigid heddle loom.  This scarf is 100% pure British sheep breed wool, made from three different yarns which I spun by hand on a traditional spinning wheel - a lengthy process but one which yields beautiful and truly unique results! 

This scarf is approximately 145cm in length, with an additional 10cm twisted fringe at each end. The scarf is approx 20cm in width. 

The warp threads are a light grey blend of Lonk, Swaledale and Whitefaced Woodland at either edge, with a darker central band of Jacobs. The weft uses a blend of Jacobs, Cheviot, Lonk and Corriedale, spun as a chunky single to highlight the fresh greens and heathery purples running through it. The use of handspun yarn creates a scarf with beautiful warmth and weight, highlighted by a woven 3/1 pick up pattern which adds to the rich texture of this one-of-a-kind garment.

Being a woollen garment, this item is recommended for cool hand wash only.
