A beautiful and unique scarf, woven entirely by hand on a rigid heddle loom.  I made this scarf a variety of yarns which I spun by hand on a traditional spinning wheel - a lengthy process but one which yields beautiful and truly unique results!

This scarf is approximately 146cm in length, with an additional 15cm twisted fringe at each end. The scarf is approx 24cm in width.

The warp and weft feature a mixture of various pure wool yarns, including Merino, Corriedale, Hebridean and Bluefaced Leicester in long stripes along the length of the scarf. The weft creates a light brown ground with which the dark teal, fuschia and dark brown stripes blend along the length of the scarf. The dark teal yarn is also blended with a little Rose fibre, adding a romantic and floral dimension. The use of handspun yarn creates a scarf with beautiful warmth and weight, with the Bluefaced Leicester weft creating a smooth and soft woollen feel for this one-of-a-kind garment.

Being a wool-based garment, this item is recommended for cool hand wash only.
