A beautiful and unique scarf, woven entirely by hand on a rigid heddle loom.  This scarf is made from a range of different wools and plant fibres, all spun by hand on a traditional spinning wheel - a lengthy process but one which yields beautiful and truly unique results! 

This scarf is approximately 175cm in length, with an additional 14cm twisted fringe at each end. The scarf is approx 26cm in width. 

The warp threads are colourful mixture of pink, reds, greens and yellows, while the weft is a golden yellow with hints of blush pink - definitely reminiscent of rhubarb and custard!  The use of handspun yarn creates a scarf with beautiful warmth and weight, highlighted by a woven 5/1 pick up pattern which adds to the rich texture of this one-of-a-kind piece. The fibres used in this scarf include Merino, Corriedale, Cheviot and Shetland wools, blended with Soyabean and Rose plant fibres.

Being a wool-based garment, this item is recommended for cool hand wash only.
