This book was in The Horncastle Heritage Society's archive and is a fascinating history of the Dymoke family who have been the monarch's champion since the late 12th Century. As it was part of an archive, I had to ensure that it was strong enough to be handled by various users for research purposes.

I rebuilt the book block and found some cloth which was sufficiently similar to the original to mean that I decided not to stain down the new cloth. I was concerned that the stain would stand out too much and add a third, unnatural, colour to the spine.
