Make your own Upcycled Paper Pocketbook

As the Christmas decorations came down and were packed away for another year, we found ourselves wondering whether we could give some of the waste material a new life beyond simply chucking it in the recycling bin. We took a pile of festive wrapping paper and a few Christmas cards out to the bindery to see what we could do!

With a few sheets of A4 printer paper, a needle and thread, and something to cut with, we were able to make a cheerful set of little paper notebooks that will be useful for shopping lists, jotting down ideas and otherwise keeping notes. As they are pocket-sized, we call them 'paper pocketbooks'. As well as providing a little pop of Christmas fun at some later point in the year, these are also a way of extending the life of Christmas cards and wishes from special people.

We made a brief video guide of how to make these and published it on our social media accounts - you can see it here

and have a go at making your own notebooks from any leftover decorative papers, wrapping, birthday cards or similar!
